OASIS DOWNWIND

Downwind das Emoções

THE DOWNWIND

To venture into this journey, you must have a good level in this discipline, because many days the distances exceed the fifty kilometres and the 4×4 support will not always be available.

You will encounter all kinds of conditions, between ocean waves and incredible extensions of flat water, secret passages and freshwater lagoons. Everything is organized so that you have time to enjoy the surroundings while you recover from the long trips.

THE VILLAGES

This downind will make you discover three different states. You will start from Jeri in Ceará, pass through Barra Grande to enter the Piauí, and sailing through the Parnaíba Delta, you will go to the state of Maranhão to reach Atins.

You will pass through other much smaller and simpler villages, rural areas where fishing is the only daily activity and where the simplicity of the gestures is worth more than a thousand words.

NATURE

Nature has been generous with this part of the coast, and you will begin to enjoy its contrasts from the first day, passing through deltas, mangrove areas and lagoons with calm waters.

The main protagonists of the trip are the Delta of Parnaíba, the largest in the Americas, and the Lençóis Maranhenses, with their crystalline water lagoons in an endless desert. Extreme places with a charm and beauty unique in the world.
