THE VILLAGES
You will be in peaceful places, where you will feel totally free and in contact with nature, hospitable places where its inhabitants will share their best secrets with you.
Guajiru and Moitas are two typical villages of the Brazilian Nordeste, places where fishing, farming or craft techniques are passed on from generation to generation, which helps to maintain the simple rhythm of life in the region.
NATURE
While the long deserted beaches shaken by the wind dominate the landscape, rivers and lagoons remain the great creators of life in this wild setting.
You will discover the mangroves as well as the life inside them, you will appreciate the freedom on the beaches, and you will be amazed by the particularity of the lençóis, dune areas filled with lagoons during the rainy season.
KITESURF
The wind will always be present during your trip, in the Nordeste it is guaranteed to be strong and constant, you will feel it in all the places where you go kiting.
At the beginning of the trip you will be on a beautiful beach, a place protected from the strong ocean that surrounds it, in the middle of a large extension of deserted beaches.
Then Moitas is not protected from the ocean, so you will be able to test yourself with the waves, although very soon you will be sailing again in calm waters’ areas.
HOW IS THE JOURNEY
Private transfer from Fortaleza International Airport to Guajiru.
When you arrive at the airport, the driver will be waiting to take you to the first destination, it will be a journey of just over two hours.
Perhaps you will have time to try this spot as soon as you arrive, in any case, when you will be ready, the instructors from the kite school will come and pick you up. They will give you a tour of the village, and give you all the advice you need to get the most out of your stay here.
Kite in Guajiru
You have already seen the beach, you know all the secrets of the spot, the time has come to make the most of it.
You have the whole day to organize it as you wish, one or two kite sessions, stay on the beach, or go on an adventure on the deserted beaches that surround you. You are free to do whatever you want, you will always have your trustworthy person nearby in case you need anything.
Kite in the lagoon and offshore fishing
Early in the morning you will go out with a group of fishermen to be part of the crew, you will learn their way of working to help with the day's catch.
Back on land, you will travel to Lagoa do Jegue to kite, a picturesque place with flat waters, a meeting place for kitesurfers and the local wildlife.
At the end of the day you will meet again with your morning team, it's time to cook dinner together and celebrate the end of the day.
Travel along the beach and first contact with Moitas
You will exit Guajiru in 4x4, traversing the deserted beaches, crossing small villages and rivers until you reach the Lençóis.
Here you can have fun in the dunes and of course take a dip in one of the freshwater lagoons you see.
Upon arrival in Moitas your local guide will be waiting for you, who will be at your disposal to show you the kite spot, the village and the best locals restaurants.
All Moitas
Today you will kite at the beach of Moitas, you can choose the best time according to the tides and your local instructor.
Later, you will meet with your guide. He will introduce you to some of his neighbours who make a living from crafts or agriculture, and you will learn their working techniques.
He will also reveal all the secrets of his region and show you around sacred places, ending the day together around a traditional dinner at his home.
The river in all its splendor
After breakfast, you will spend the day by the river, where you can kite at the mouth, a beautiful place with calm and shallow waters with a view on the mangroves.
After a break, you will leave for a boat trip in the deepest part of the river to discover the different fishing techniques in the area. With the sun setting down, it will be time to head back to Moitas, but not before tasting the freshly caught fish.
