Icaraizinho
THE VILLAGE
Icaraí de Amontada, affectionately known as “Icaraizinho”, is one of the best spots in the Nordeste of Brazil.
A quiet village growing little by little thanks to the kitesurf, mixing the tradition of the region with the international touch from the foreigners who have settled here.
Its amazing bay full of coconut trees remain its main attraction, where restaurants and bars put on their best attire at sunset.
NATURE
The surroundings of Icaraizinho are full of natural treasures with very diverse landscapes.
A quad is the best ally to fully enjoy the Lençóis Cearenses, an extension of dunes with freshwater lagoons and spectacular views. It will also be useful to reach the Ilha das Ostras, on the banks of the river Aracatiaçu. Once here, one has to cross the river to follow the adventure, or enjoy a quiet boat ride along the river, any of them loaded with unforgettable scenery.
KITESURF
Icaraizinho is lucky to have two spots next to its main beach.
To the east, at the tip of the beach, we find the strongest winds and some waves to play in the open ocean, and to the west an area of calm and shallow waters protected by the reef.
Near Icaraí there are other incredible spots, such as the deserted Caetanos’ beach or the Lagoa de Patos, where a strip of sand has created a huge flat water paradise.
