Tutóia
THE VILLAGE
Between the protected area of the Pequenos Lençóis and the mouth of the Delta of Parnaíba, there is Tutóia, a quiet and simple place with a long beach and a splendid sunset.
In its bay, the remains of a large ship show that its shallow waters are treacherous, it has not been the only one to be wrecked in its waters, a German ship from the Second World War, among others, is part of its aquatic cemetery.
NATURE
The Delta of Parnaiba is the main protagonist, an ecological sanctuary of vast proportions that can be enjoyed by boat. Through its channels, its great diversity of flora and fauna can be observed, very different during the day or the night.
On the other hand, the sediments from the delta, associated with the force of the wind and the rain have created a paradise of dunes, freshwater lagoons and exuberant vegetation, these are the Pequenos Lençóis.
KITESURF
The delta has created over the years an incredible playground for kitesurfing. Its sediments have formed a shallow coastline protected from the waves by tongues of sand in the open ocean, an incredible landscape between Tutóia and Arpoador with the lençóis in the background.
To feel the sensations of the agitated ocean again, go beyond the lençóis, to Praia do Amor, a huge deserted beach where the wind blows with all its might.
